You are spot on, Mr. Ramirez. The panacea of EV's leading the world to carbon-free energy conversion is among the most oversold of marginal ideas in history. Reminiscent of corn-based ethanol in the 80's. Yup, they are cool, and that alone might be a reason to consider owning one. But if you charge your EV battery from grid-connected power, subsidies may make it appealing to you, but you are likely doing nothing to help the planet.

Our ideation on this point is horribly stagnant, and we are far enough down the road that common sense observations show it isn't working. And yet, we possess the technology to actually make a difference if we choose to. Our plan to rely on something as fragile as our grid is just silly.
