Michael Ramirez: Turning Back the Clock 03-11-26
From America's Premier Editorial Cartoonist
BACK TO THE FUTURE
Going back to 1979, but this time, with a much, much different outcome.
The first priority must be ending the Iranian nuclear program… permanently.
The second priority is no longer allowing the Strait of Hormuz to be held hostage by this Rogue regime.
20 million barrels of oil cross through the Strait of Hormuz a day, or “one-fifth of global oil consumption.” It is a crucial choking point in commerce and trade for oil, LNG and fertilizer, and other goods.
Kharg Island seems to be the key launching point and economic facilitator of this rogue regime. The oil facilities must remain intact, but the island and surrounding islands are a launch point for both mining boats and Iranian oil transport vessels. Both should be stopped. Oil is still the main financier to Iran’s operations. End the flow of money and the terror machine comes to a grinding halt.
Freeing Iranians from the tyranny of the despotic regime would be a bonus… But nation building should not be in the equation. Iraq has taught us the danger and futility of those policies.
But the top goal remains shutting down the Iranian nuclear program FOREVER.
It is a threat to the entire world, and rest of the world should acknowledge this, share in that view, and aid the elimination of this threat. That means locating, seizing, transferring or destroying all the HRU (highly enriched Uranium stockpiles) and taking out the remaining nuclear sites including, the Pickaxe Mountain underground nuclear facility.
Do that and we can turn the “Doomsday Clock” back as well.

Thank you for supporting my editorial cartooning and writing at this great independent space. And thank you, most of all, for standing up for free speech and truth, both of which are under attack everywhere.
We’ll see you soon with more of my work, and as always, let me know what you think in the comments, or drop me a line at ramireztoons@gmail.com
As you can imagine, I receive many emails, many which dictate things that are physically impossible to do with and to human physiology. I will try to read everything you send with one exception: Please do not share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial cartoonist, every original cartoon I publish must spring from within my own little mind, though I appreciate your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. I try to keep my finger on the pulse of America, but they keep filing restraining orders against me but I would love to hear what’s on your mind? What can I do better, and no I’m not going to hire ANOTHER editorial cartoonist… Let us know in the comments or by emailing us at ramireztoons@gmail.com.

I’ve not always agreed with your cartoons nor your opinion. But today! Just. Plain. Wow. Great job!
Awesome, Michael
