Michael Ramirez: TTYL Pete 3-26-25
From America's Premier Editorial Cartoonist
Texting war plans. - Michael
Editor’s Note: I forget, daily, what it was like to be a child. My own children give me occasional reminders, mostly through the pure filter of their sense of injustice. But on days like today, I remember fully what it’s like. It’s because I’ve been confronted with something so incredibly stupid that even a child could understand it, perhaps more clearly than the adults rushing to defend and justify it.
Online security is complex, but it’s just common sense to not text war plans to individuals without that security clearance. It’s obviously dumb as heck to text them to journalists, since leaking juicy information is literally their job. Everyone, of all political leanings and ages, seems to agree on this stupidly basic principle. What on earth is Pete Hegseth’s problem, especially after he had lots of pointed words about Hillary Clinton’s email server in 2016?
I think we’re all in an era of simply craving for people to practice what they preach, plus a little bit of extra prudence if they happen to have high-stakes security jobs in government.

Thank you for supporting Michael’s editorial cartooning and writing at this great independent space. And thank you, most of all, for standing up for free speech and truth, both of which are under attack everywhere.
We’ll see you soon with more of Michael’s work, and as always, let us know what you think in the comments, or drop us a line at ramireztoons@gmail.com
As you can imagine, we receive many emails, and Michael reads everything you send with one exception: I regret that I cannot share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial artist, every original cartoon he publishes must spring from within his mind, though I will happily forward your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. Michael tries to keep his finger on the pulse of America, so what’s on your mind? What can we do better? Let us know in the comments or by emailing the editor, Bree Lindquist, at breelinguist@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you and will do our best to respond soon.
Best,
Melissa Praemonitus (personal manager for Michael P. Ramirez)
