As you can imagine, I receive many emails, many which dictate things that are physically impossible to do with and to human physiology. I will try to read everything you send with one exception: Please do not share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial cartoonist, every original cartoon I publish must spring from within my own little mind, though I appreciate your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. I try to keep my finger on the pulse of America, but they keep filing restraining orders against me but I would love to hear what’s on your mind? What can I do better, and no I’m not going to hire ANOTHER editorial cartoonist… Let us know in the comments or by emailing us at ramireztoons@gmail.com.
It's what happens when modern medicine lengthens lifespan en masse... mitigated somewhat by bad nutrition and the depressing economic and psychological impact on flyover country from Federal policy (tax and regulation) that pushed mineral extraction and manufacturing overseas over the last 3 decades.
MAHA will serve to lengthen lifespan, generating further pressure. However, current Federal policies that emphasize homegrown energy, artificial intelligence, mineral extraction, and manufacturing will serve to dramatically increase productivity and should take a lot of pressure off of Social Security. Put that in the hope category, with a better than even chance of success.
What is clear is that we cannot continue collecting an ever increasing percentage of our childrens' and grandchildrens' paychecks, have it earn nothing, and then hope to keep up with inflationary increases in benefits.
If the donnie dementia sycophants had their way, that would be all we get.
