Michael Ramirez: Putin Out the Beacon 3-4-25
From America's Premier Editorial Cartoonist
Extinguishing the beacon of liberty. -Michael
Editor’s Note: Before I started editing and contributing content for Michael’s Substack, I was a paid subscriber. One of my favorite perks was occasionally getting bonus sketches and alternative versions of the cartoon that were created while Michael was still working on his final vision. It really provides insight and appreciation for how much work goes into drawing these cartoons and just how skilled Michael is at turning a loose concept into a fully-articulated piece of commentary. I hope you enjoy the bonus sketch provided by Michael for today’s cartoon!

Thank you for supporting Michael’s editorial cartooning and writing at this great independent space. And thank you, most of all, for standing up for free speech and truth, both of which are under attack everywhere.
We’ll see you soon with more of Michael’s work, and as always, let us know what you think in the comments, or drop us a line at ramireztoons@gmail.com
As you can imagine, we receive many emails, and Michael reads everything you send with one exception: I regret that I cannot share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial artist, every original cartoon he publishes must spring from within his mind, though I will happily forward your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. Michael tries to keep his finger on the pulse of America, so what’s on your mind? What can we do better? Let us know in the comments or by email. We would love to hear from you and will do our best to respond soon.
Best,
Melissa Praemonitus (editor and personal manager for Michael P. Ramirez)
