Progressives are trying to use the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas and her independent opinions to unjustly remove his opinion from the Supreme Court. They should not succeed. The ABA Canons of Judicial Ethics section 14 on judicial independence states a judge "should not be swayed by partisan demands, public clamor or considerations or personal popularity or notoriety, nor be apprehensive of unjust criticism.   —Michael
