Michael Ramirez: History Lesson 3-6-25
From America's Premier Editorial Cartoonist
History lesson. -Michael
Editor’s Note: I’ve admittedly avoided the grocery store since Monday. Just as my daughters make me interested in maintaining boundaries in female sports and spaces, my passion for putting food on my family’s table makes me interested in how President Trump’s tariffs will affect Americans in the short and long term. I went shopping today and let’s just say that the price of Mexican-grown blueberries made me feel, at least momentarily, better about the price of eggs.
Then I came home and found out that, actually, tariffs have been postponed until the beginning of April! I’m not sure whether to celebrate the delay, or cry because things are already this expensive.

Thank you for supporting Michael’s editorial cartooning and writing at this great independent space. And thank you, most of all, for standing up for free speech and truth, both of which are under attack everywhere.
We’ll see you soon with more of Michael’s work, and as always, let us know what you think in the comments, or drop us a line at ramireztoons@gmail.com
As you can imagine, we receive many emails, and Michael reads everything you send with one exception: I regret that I cannot share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial artist, every original cartoon he publishes must spring from within his mind, though I will happily forward your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. Michael tries to keep his finger on the pulse of America, so what’s on your mind? What can we do better? Let us know in the comments or by email. We would love to hear from you and will do our best to respond soon.
Best,
Melissa Praemonitus (editor and personal manager for Michael P. Ramirez)
