Michael Ramirez: Department of Edewcation 3-16-25
From America's Premier Editorial Cartoonist
The US education system gets failing grades. -Michael
Editor’s Note: We like to share Scott Johnson’s work from Power Line, and his February piece A short drive and its embedded links clearly lay out many flaws in the somewhat makework bureaucracy that is The Department of Education.
Obviously, education is important in our country. Children should receive excellent ones. But with the current Department’s bloat and oversights, it’s natural to question whether funding would be better-used in individual districts to meet the needs of those students and educators and actually improve outcomes, instead of simply adding more people to the government payroll.

Thank you for supporting Michael’s editorial cartooning and writing at this great independent space. And thank you, most of all, for standing up for free speech and truth, both of which are under attack everywhere.
We’ll see you soon with more of Michael’s work, and as always, let us know what you think in the comments, or drop us a line at ramireztoons@gmail.com
As you can imagine, we receive many emails, and Michael reads everything you send with one exception: I regret that I cannot share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial artist, every original cartoon he publishes must spring from within his mind, though I will happily forward your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. Michael tries to keep his finger on the pulse of America, so what’s on your mind? What can we do better? Let us know in the comments or by emailing the editor, Bree Lindquist, at breelinguist@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you and will do our best to respond soon.
Best,
Melissa Praemonitus (personal manager for Michael P. Ramirez)
