Michael Ramirez: Branching Out 3-25-25
From America's Premier Editorial Cartoonist
Branching out. - Michael
Editor’s Note: I wonder how long it took Michael to draw and color all of those cherries, and especially enjoy watching the progress from the sketch to the finished result. Regardless of how one feels personally about how Donald Trump and the courts are navigating the current state of affairs, it’s difficult not to appreciate the humor and cheek in this cartoon, and wonder (perhaps with equal parts hope and dread) what that chainsaw will be used on, next. Waste and fraud, knock on wood.

Thank you for supporting Michael’s editorial cartooning and writing at this great independent space. And thank you, most of all, for standing up for free speech and truth, both of which are under attack everywhere.
We’ll see you soon with more of Michael’s work, and as always, let us know what you think in the comments, or drop us a line at ramireztoons@gmail.com
As you can imagine, we receive many emails, and Michael reads everything you send with one exception: I regret that I cannot share your cartoon ideas. As an editorial artist, every original cartoon he publishes must spring from within his mind, though I will happily forward your good wishes, complaints, concerns about issues, or opinions about politicians who seem to make a mess of everything. Michael tries to keep his finger on the pulse of America, so what’s on your mind? What can we do better? Let us know in the comments or by emailing the editor, Bree Lindquist, at breelinguist@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you and will do our best to respond soon.
Best,
Melissa Praemonitus (personal manager for Michael P. Ramirez)
